New CD offers Field Training on Multiplexing/Conversion unit
Wallingford, CT - Ultra Electronics-DNE Technologies, a provider of tactical voice and data networking solutions, now offers a computer-based training course for its CV-MCU2 converter/multiplexer product. The extensive and rapid deployment of the CV-MCU2 throughout many Department of Defense programs prompted Ultra-DNE to create this computer-based training program to enhance the skill set of potential operators without the need to travel to a classroom. The training is designed to make the user proficient in the application and operation of the widely-deployed CV-MCU2 in less than six hours.
The CV-MCU2 allows the tactical user to software-configure a single unit as either a multiplexer or a modem, or any combination of the two. This versatile modular approach allows circuits to operate independently or be combined as needed without replacing hardware modules when a reallocation of circuits is required. The product was first released in late 2006, and recently a new option module added Ethernet bridging capability.
Users who successfully complete the CV-MCU2 computer-based training course can apply for a proficiency certificate from Ultra-DNE. The program is available on CD from Ultra-DNE for a list price of $250. Site licenses are also offered, and Ultra-DNE can assist integrators in developing program-specific configuration training modules as part of vendor-provided training.
